Stop Underarm Sweating

Although sweating is one of body’s normal functions, it can become embarrassing if it gets excessive. Fortunately, there are several natural remedies to stop excessive sweating. Here are some ways to stop underarm sweating. Some of these are natural and, hence, come without side effects.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey

One of the best ways to put an end to excessive sweating is to use raw honey and apple cider vinegar. You should take two tablespoons of the raw honey, that being unfiltered and unheated honey. Also take two tablespoons of the apple cider vinegar. These might not be pleasing to your taste buds but they do help to stop underarm sweating.

Deodorant with Antiperspirant

Deodorants don’t assist with decreasing sweat — they simply stop the bad smell. But deodorants with antiperspirants do the job of stopping underarm sweating. However, while buying you should always look for the two key ingredients necessary to stop the sweat on the label — aluminum chloride or aluminum chlorohydrate.

Regular Shower and Good Hygiene

One of the usual methods used to prevent underarm sweating involves taking showers and maintaining personal hygiene. Frequent baths will not just make you feel refreshed and rejuvenated but also stop excessive sweating to a large extent.

Antibacterial Soap

You must also utilize anti-bacterial natural soaps normally and change your clothing as much as you can to lessen the sweat.

Natural Cloth Fibers

You should go for more of natural fibers like cotton, linen, and wool in case of clothes since they allow a good amount of air circulation around the body and thus stop excess amount of sweat.

Water

You must also drink a lot of water because water assists with reloading the lost minerals that are lost by the body because of excessive perspiration. This way it also helps to stop excess sweating and thus, prevent the odor causing bacteria.

Baking Soda or Cornstarch

Baking soda is also a naturally effective antiperspirant which stops excess sweating in the armpits. It is also affordable and easily available.

In addition to baking soda, cornstarch is a natural remedy to stop excessive sweating in the armpits. People might not feel very comfortable to apply such powders on the armpits to stop underarm sweating but if applied, it is one of the best methods available.

  1. I need to find something that works. I’ve never sweated this much before and it’s embarrasing and uncomfortable. And I’m only 15! I tried wearing a hoodie over my school uniform so at least I feel comfortable but I sweat through my hoodies!!!!! My docter says it might have something to do with hormones…….???

  2. guys, i had the same problem as all of you.
    but then, i tried EVERYTHING.
    nothing worked!
    until i found CertainDri.
    works super well.
if you get the roll on for night and use it every night, i guarentee you that you will see a difference the next day.
im 14, and on my first day of school, i couldn’t stop worrying that i would sweat. then, i talked to my mom and asked her if she could get it.
she got it, i used it,
and i didn’t sweat at all the next day.
if you shower at night, DO NOT use it right after you shower. though it seems like a good idea because your pores will be open, don’t do it. it stings like a mother.
but if you shower in the morning, DO NOT WORRY! the certaindri would have settled in over night so you won’t wash it off the next morning.
once you use it everynight for about 1-2 weeks, feel free to start using it every other week.
it is a miracle! so thankful i found this! (:

  3. Reading all your comments I feel very fortunate. I also have excessive sweating on my chest and back. My underarms are never dry and at least my hands are considerate with my social life and I can meet people without feeling SO embarrassed.
My wet trunk and underarms had literally dynamite my self-confidence since I was fourteen. I couldn’t leave my home without my bag filled with three t-shirts (four or even five in summer) to change myself during the day. I’m writing from Spain and we have nice warm weather here…
After the entire lecture just wanted to say that my daily life has changed since I use a kind of shirts that hide my sweat and makes me feel comfortable. I’m pretty sure they are Spanish but anyway I buy them through their website. They are called SUTRAN and are very easy to find. I tried them after finding information when looking desperately for help in many many forums and HH societies and also ruling out chemical products as my skin didn’t seem to like them so much. I don’t find them very expensive, regarding the help they give to me (don’t know about shipping costs abroad). Chatting with another colleague with HH who also tried them, we agreed that although at the first time you hold one of them in your hands you may think that it will be really hot (it has like two layers, two tissues) actually it is not. Don’t know why or how but they give much comfort and even freshness. When passing time wearing one of them it absorbs your sweat, you feel little humid but it kind of makes sweat disappear and you can’t see anything from the outside. I’m truly happy with these Sutran t-shirts and I wanted to share my experience here because as I read your comments I feel more identified with you and I’m convinced that as me you will be thankful to them!
Another thing that I learnt in all this time is that my perspiration is a part of me and I have to get on well with it. Be happy, respect yourself and have a great life, you just have one!
    Cheers

  5. Well I’m 13 and I sweat so much. I am a very clean person and I shower daily. I have to take deodarent, baby powder, body spray, and an extra shirt to school everyday because I sweat rhough my clothes. i asked my doctor what to do, and he said use cornstarch. Well I used it and it DOESN’T work. I sweat through it, making the powdeer all wet and clumpy. Then i heard about Mitchum. There are three types. Thhe green bottle roll-on type, the smart-solid for women, and this other one i forgot the name of. I just bought it today, so I’m not sure if it works. I feel like it does though. I mean I sweat just by tucking my arms in to my sides. It’s so embarrasing!! I suggest you use it. here is a link to see what it looks like:

    http://www.amazon.com/Mitchum-Clinical-Performance-Powder-2-5-Ounce/dp/B001EWEPAE

Its says $17 dollars, but just go to your local Walgreens or CVS or drug store and they will have it.

    Hope I helped.
